God damnit, we should have never dropped the space program in the 80s. A good 20-30% of modern problems could have been helped by a properly funded space program.
Poor L-5 Society, I feel your pain.

I think art is the joke everyone can be in on. Not the dirty joke, or the belly laugh joke, but the joke that makes you smile and think softly.
A gallery is not a library. Shout your love.
District, the paper I work at won several more awards this friday, including second place in Photography, Large division, at the Southern Regional Press Institute Awards.
I’ve been spending 11-13 hour days in the SCAD print labs working on my latest project. It’s made up of 200 color prints, which need to be balanced and carefully printed from 200 separate medium format negatives. So it’s a bit of a chore. I’ve got 120 prints done so far. You will see news on this eventually, but it might come in a form you don’t expect. Stay tuned. :)
CMYK publishes a portfolio of around 20 images, usually one per selected photographer in each issue, along with portfolios of the best advertising, design, and illustration.
It’s really a great magazine and you can read more about it here.

The final results will be made of 20 8×10 prints, and be 40×40 inch squares mounted on wood and painted around the borders.
Shot with a 35mm wide angle on my Mamiya 645AFD medium format, on Fujifilm Provia 100 reversal film, cross processed through C-41 chemistry, printed traditionally on CDII Matte paper. Originally presented as a series of eight traditional prints.
Scanned in on a flatbed scanner, retouched the dust off, and made slight color corrections from crappy scanning, then posted. The color is from the cross processing and not digital in origin. Hope you enjoy the series!
