This was from a series of shots I did in Northampton, MA a couple years ago.
I only took one shot of each person, all strangers, on slide film.
Sort of a technical exercise as much a social one. Some of the other ones I still like, the moment wasn’t perfect,
but I’ll always really like this shot of Anja.

I think it’s lit through a window.

Rolleicord V Film Scan.
Columbia, SC. Beth’s Back yard.
I love this shot and it’s one of the few pictures I’ve taken without people in it that I really like.

A few old Black and Whites of Danni

I just had a great night and I’m looking forward to the rest of the day.
For now, though, I’ve got to get a little sleep before my 8am class!

Coley is back in Brooklyn. It was good to see him.
Because of my brief hospital trip, I didn’t get to give him the prints I owe him,
but I’ll send them up.

This is a shot from last winter. Probably about a year ago.
Cross processed, Mamiya 645afd medium format, 35mm wide angle.

I told you a couple days that we were going to the awards thing for the newspaper I work at.
Well, the official word is (on the streets, you know) that District got:

General Excellence – Third place
Best Campus Community Service for Features – Third place
Improvement – Third place
Best editorial or feature photograph – Third place
Layout and Design – Second place
and Dave Valeza received the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Impact award
for editorial cartooning.

Pretty sweet huh?

Oh, I left one out.

General Photography – First place

Pretty much the best any of the papers could do for photography. H’yeah!

So here’s a picture of me looking like a happy little girl!
