Here’s to the past and the future.

Jon and Pranas are local comic artists.

These were some shots taken when we did that big comic artist project (up at my website as sketchbook.) that I saved to post later.

I’ll post some more shots from that shoot at some point.
It seems everyone prefers my studio work, but I really avoid it these days.
Natural light is just too too too beautiful and I take so many photos using it.
So I try to space out the studio stuff a bit.

I’m done with scanning, spotting, and slightly adjusting (no way I’m going to actually get in depth on so many images) all the Rolleicord V shots from the last couple months! That means about 5 more galleries on facebook, and about 12 days of posts here to get through all of those images. So I’ve got about 30 posts worth of pictures again in my to post folder. Oh well, I’ll try and move it along as quickly as possible.

It would be nice if one day I’d be able to show pictures the day after I took them, or something like that, but it seems like I can’t just stop taking damn pictures. Oops.

Here are pictures of Zachariah! He’s pretty much the O’Keefe to my Steiglitz these days, it seems, so I’m sorry if you hate his face.

The first few are all cross processed, from various days, and the last ones are not. That last shot of him is pretty much my favorite picture. Ever.
It’s so much better because he just sits like that sometimes. I seriously don’t ever tell him to do anything (except once, when I told him to jump.)
Fuckin love that kid.

Yeah we just chill in the bike room with those busted up mountain bikes alllll the time, for real. hahahaha.
Man that reminds me I still haven’t taken any pictures of my sweet retro road bike that I picked up for 20 bucks (well, and parts and repairs costs).

Last quarter I had to bike over and shoot a photo for some fashion major article in about 5 minutes.
These aren’t retouched or anything.

Here are some shots from a desoto show, around march 8th.

Also, Jessica (who is the girl in unsolved mysteries, the first band playing in this set, so you’ve seen a fair amount of her) and I
have started a sort of experimental noise thing.
Really, just messing about.

Our first track was an ode to browsing myspace and hearing everything overlap.
It’s up at our myspace.

Here’s a sort of preview, the one digital shot I took during a mostly film shoot.
I’ve seen the proofs and they look good, now I’ve got a lot of scanning and post work to do.

Last night I finished scanning all the new york film, as well as some misc stuff, like those park photos.
Today I adjusted/spotted about 78 shots, with around 200 more to go, including both rolleicord and polaroid stuff.

It will be nice to have that all done, when I’m finished. Mostly for my memories, and for kicks, since I’ve never shot in new york before.
On the street, at least. I just always felt like a tourist if I had a camera on me. I didn’t mind using the rolleicord though, it feels totally different.

I am pretty exhausted though.

Oh I forgot.

this is sparta.

God I love meatloaf so much. Oh the food is ok too.

Edit: Trevor is in the kitchen and asks me “What would you classify that music as?”

Me: Uh… what do you mean?

Trev: What genre is it?

Me: Um, fucking rock?

Trev: But I think some stuff would be alternative…

Me: Do you not know meatloaf? DO YOU NOT KNOW MEATLOAF?

Trev: Uh, like the food? or..

Me: OH GOD ITS FUCKING CLASSIC CLASSIC ROCK TREV CLASSIC

Trev: I’ve never heard..

Me: ZEPPELIN, FLOYD, BILLY JOEL, WHO, THE POLICE (pretty much shouting random rock bands), MEATLOAF TREV MEATLOAF EPIC TREV

Greta, walking in: yeah, meatloaf is classic

I can’t believe people don’t know who meatloaf is.

Joelle threw this little tea party so she could get some shots for her project.
I guess the idea had something to do with a period house where a tour guide in costume would tell you about tea.

Anyway, we had tea and english muffins and took some pictures and it was good.

Nothing amazingly exciting, but good memories. And that’s kind of what this journal is about, to me.

And oh, David L. Andrews.

Kyle Jones.

Sarah getting her tea on.

Joelle demonstrating proper cute technique.

Group shot with dog. :D

Joelle looks so sneaky, but she’s just about to get her sock. I don’t know why I love this one, haha.

Here are some very old shots, from winter break. These were the first ones I scanned right after I got my scanner, and I sort of butchered them, especially in the shadowed areas. I’ve gotten a lot better, but I don’t really feel like re-scanning anything right now, when I have so much I haven’t even seen to scan.
