I know I promised some heavy posts this week, but too much ended up happening – hopefully there will be a lot more soon though.

Right now, you should check out the work in the latest PDNedu student photo contest. I’ve got an honorable mention in there somewhere, but honestly it’s nowhere near as interesting as some of the work. So check it out at that link or in the latest issue (available at plenty of educational institutions). The magazine itself tends to, like most print publications, be an odd mix of advertisement, shallow blurbs, and actual original worthwhile content, but I’ve always found it worthwhile to thumb through it – and I’m a fan of anyone who promotes work by unknown photographers. Which, lets face it, most students are.

Speaking of students, tomorrow I’m heading off to Dallas for the Society for Photographic Education conference. Honestly, I can’t remember if I’ve been to Dallas before, but if you’re going to be at SPE send me an email before you head out, or write down my cell number from my website – Say hi!
